Located in the centre of Ribatejo, an hour from Lisbon, this historic estate is flanked by the ancient Roman road, which once connected the Portuguese capital to Coimbra and is now also part of the Camino de Santiago.
With the oldest references dating back to the XVI century, over the years Quinta da Melhorada has changed and evolved. Today it is a place where sustainability has always been a fundamental concern in all aspects of the management of the estate's diverse activities and where every day there is a symbiosis between tradition and modernity, respecting our past but always looking to the future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the centre of Ribatejo, one hour from Lisbon, the Goleg\u00e3 region is rich in tradition, culture and natural beauty.\u00a0<\/p>

The most important agricultural area in the country, it is also known as the Capital of the Horse, where equestrian culture is celebrated, especially during the National Horse Fair, which takes place in November every year.<\/p>

Historical monuments abound in the region, such as the Convent of Christ in Tomar and the Castle of Almourol, together with an important natural heritage, the best example of which is the Pa\u00fal do Boquilobo Nature Reserve, a sanctuary for wildlife and the largest egret colony in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>

Renowned for its rich and varied gastronomy, with typical dishes using fresh local produce, and in addition to Ribatejo wines with protected designations of origin of the highest quality, it is undoubtedly a region that promises unique and memorable experiences.
